We recently visited the Macoupin County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center in Carlinville, Il. The staff at the center were very helpful and informative. The cages were very clean, and all of the animals had food and water. We appreciated that the shelter allowed for the animals to have outdoor access. The fees are very reasonable for the services received. Before bringing a newly adopted pet home he receives a health check, shots, neutered or spayed and micro-chipped implanted.
Brody, now known as "Remington" was introduced to us. We discovered that he was picked up as a stray in a local community, running the streets. Through an examine the staff estimated him to be approximately a year to 18 months old. I would guess the lesser, as he displays so much puppy character. We bonded with him instantly, and he appeared to be thrilled to meet us. He was another lab/boxer mix. We can’t believe how quickly he became a part of our family. He is without a doubt the best dog we could have chosen. Remington displays no aggressiveness. He was being kenneled with a dog similar to him. They appeared to be getting along well and we noticed that he was not food aggressive. We knew he was the puppy we wanted. It were eager to sign adoption papers.
He has adjusted well with other dogs and cats in our extended family. I am sure he loves his new home.
Thanks to Macoupin County Animal Shelter and Adoption Center we have the sweetest, most lovable pet, who seems to appreciate us as much as we appreciate him.
